1. The Three Stigmata of Palmer EldritchNovel
   Edition Of

278 pp, $4.95, cover art by Tom Chibbaro. 1965, $4.95 [ ] bound in
light grey cloth with black lettering on the spine. “1965” on the title page. “First Edition” on the
copyright page. [ ] no date code in this book. Also unusual for Doubleday, in this time frame, is
the fact that the book is “perfect bound” (this is somewhat hidden by a headband). This first
edition contains a page not found in the Book Club edition, which lists current and forthcoming
titles by Dick; some of these titles, such as THE FIRST LADY OF EARTH and IN THE MOLD
OF YANCY, were apparently discarded before the books in question saw publication. The price
printed on the dustjacket is $4.59 which, in all copies seen, has had a sticker placed over it
stating 4.95 D & CO. INC.
